About us
How did we evolve from being HDNM Entertainment, a motion picture development and production company in 2004 to a consulting firm in 2022? If there’s one thing that we learned after years of reverse engineering brilliant storytelling is that we were NOT in the business of delivering plots to the screen at all; rather, our job as storytellers was to bring relationships to life. The Titanic is not about a sinking ship; rather, it’s a human story about love's power to fuel unrelenting hope and possibility even in the face of death. CODA is not a story about a Child of Deaf Adults. It’s a tale about the relationship of the self to one’s own voice and finding personal power. The plot is in service of the characters' development. Our coaching and consulting services focus on how we show up and lead in the workplace to foster the most inclusive, powerful, rewarding and productive relationships.
The second huge lesson learned while coaching film & TV directors is that great directing at its very core boils down to LEADERSHIP. The lessons we learned fueled the transition from making pictures to making differences.
Luca Ceccarelli
Luca is a published author, storyteller and consultant.
Born in England and raised in Rome, Italy, Luca came to the US in 1994 to pursue his film studies and career in the entertainment industry. After successfully writing and directing award-winning projects and producing films distributed by the likes of Amazon, Netflix, and Lionsgate, Luca turned his attention to developing "StoryMetrics". Thus was born a comprehensive story-mastery system focused on how to leverage the universal resonance of timeless storytelling, adapted for fiction (StoryMetrics), business storytelling (StoryFlow) and personal development (Essential Narrative Design — E.N.D.).
In 2018 Luca joined Fulcrum Leadership Institute facilitating corporate management & staff trainings and youth leadership development. In this capacity, Luca has worked with the likes of Meta, Google, LAUSD, Netflix, NBC Universal, Tazo, Virgin Galactic, and many more. During the pandemic he migrated his skill-sets online, hosting, developing, producing and facilitating virtual-trainings and workshops. In 2020 he joined the Creative Facilitations team, where he worked with a leading social media platform*, designing and facilitating L&D, DEIJ, and management consulting for VPs, directors, managers and ICs.In 2024 he branched out with his wife, Anna, to focus on StoryCraft Academy: StoryMetrics for Fiction Writers | StoryFlow for Business Storytelling | E.N.D. for Personal Development. Services include public speaking and keynotes, coaching corporate retreats, and personal development workshops.

Anna C. Boyd
Anna is a learning and development specialist with over 15 years in the corporate sector.
After a career in the film industry, Anna turned her attention to leadership and team consulting, focusing on how narrative messaging and storytelling can shape team culture, inclusion, and leadership effectiveness. Her clients include PWC, OpenTable, Deloitte, the NBA, and many more. Among other positions, she worked at Korn Ferry as a Senior Consultant, and in tech as Senior Manager of Learning and Development at Collibra.
In addition, Anna has helped people discover their own personal narratives through coaching and counseling. She has worked with trauma victims and obtained a 125-hour coaching certificate in Whole Person Coaching. Anna is co-founder of StoryCraft Academy.
Recently, Anna returned to her roots in creative storytelling and is currently writing her debut fantasy novel. You can find updates on her work at annaclairebooks.com. In her free time, she enjoys being married to Luca, reading as much as her schedule allows, and spending time camping and hiking with her dog.
